How do women shift their identities when moving between two or more cultures? Artistic collaborators and close friends Tesa Morin and Lupita Murillo Tinnen explore this question with their digitally layered photographs that reference cultural assimilation, self-expression, and the movement of individuals on the threshold of something new.

Twenty 16" x 20" multiple exposure photos (and growing) make up the collection of full-size portraits of women of many different backgrounds. This series started with an Equity in the Arts Fellowship that was awarded to Nuestra Artist Collective by Talley Dunn Gallery, which exhibited in the summer of 2024.
For the 2025 exhibit at Texas Christian University, Morin and Tinnen created a Live Photo event in which they photographed attendees with in-camera multiple exposures, which were then printed at 4" x 6" and given to the participants. Examples below:
